It's true, the months of October and November are beyond busy for photographers, because we try to squeeze in as many sessions as possible before Christmas card season, before the last of the leaves fall from the trees, and before the weather crosses over into "just too cold" land. With that said, I had the absolute pleasure of capturing several families (all of whom I love!!), and here are some of my favorites from their mini-sessions...enjoy!

I have had the joy of capturing all different photos for this wonderful family - from their wedding to newborn photos and now family portraits. What an awesome experience! We ventured out to a local park for this session and little Maddie had a blast playing in the leaves and enjoying time with her Mommy and Daddy. Here are a few of my favorites!

Photo sessions with little ones are always fun because they make the rules and as a photographer, I document everything! The result? Their wonderful personalities shine through non-posed, natural photos. And, Sophia was no different - she ran, played, giggled, snuggled with Mom and Dad..and I got the pleasure of capturing it all!

What a fun way to top off the 4th of July weekend! I had a great time snapping photos of this wonderful blended family at their home in Simsbury. The sun was shining, the flowers were blooming and I even got to witness a father-son guitar jam. Such fun! Here are a few of my favorites from today...

This post is a long time coming, but I wanted to make sure to share these because they top the list as one of my all time favorite shoots thanks to these adorable sisters, the amazingly gorgeous property (which was in Alabama) and the happiness of the day (which followed a super-special wedding the day before). It doesn't get much better than that!

What fun it was to photograph this birthday party that was celebrating not one birthday girl, but two! It was extra special for me, because these two sweethearts are fraternal twins...and I also have a fraternal twin sister! Double the fun, double the smiles and double the...cake!

OK, ok, so I might be a little biased, but I happen to think that this birthday girl is the cutest around! I had a blast photographing my niece's first birthday, and capturing her joy on her special party day! As you'll see, the there was no shortage of smiles, and I bet you'll smile, too, looking at these photos!

Wow! What an amazing year it has been. I am so thankful to every one of you who trusted me to capture your special moments. It brings such joy to me to be able to photograph love, family, togetherness and the many other precious fleeting moments of life. Here are some of my favorites from 2013.
