It's true, the months of October and November are beyond busy for photographers, because we try to squeeze in as many sessions as possible before Christmas card season, before the last of the leaves fall from the trees, and before the weather crosses over into "just too cold" land. With that said, I had the absolute pleasure of capturing several families (all of whom I love!!), and here are some of my favorites from their mini-sessions...enjoy!

This post is a long time coming, but I wanted to make sure to share these because they top the list as one of my all time favorite shoots thanks to these adorable sisters, the amazingly gorgeous property (which was in Alabama) and the happiness of the day (which followed a super-special wedding the day before). It doesn't get much better than that!

Wow! What an amazing year it has been. I am so thankful to every one of you who trusted me to capture your special moments. It brings such joy to me to be able to photograph love, family, togetherness and the many other precious fleeting moments of life. Here are some of my favorites from 2013. These images we the ones that gave me butterflies when I was taking the photo and continue to put a smile on my face. Which ones do you like best?

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, most of the leaves have fallen off the trees and the air is a little colder. Sunshine and smiles sums up this fun photo session! I had the huge pleasure of photographing this (amazing) family last year and wow what a joy to see how everyone has grown and changed in a year! Watching the boys with their little sister and the whole gang making each other laugh was a huge highlight. These three sure know how to have fun! I found some fun local spots to capture their spunky nature and the loving bond that these sisters shared. I'm not sure which sisters loved the session most, since they all were comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera! It just goes to show, children's photography can be a huge success with the right photographer! And it helps that I absolutely love kids - just as my former students! ;)

Double joy! I am lucky enough to get to see these two on an almost weekly basis, as I teach private art lessons to (the very talented) Saachi, so today was extra fun because I was able to photograph her and her brother, Saayan! These two cuties won our "BFF" Facebook contest which means I had the joy of spending the afternoon with them! These spunky sisters already loved to model, which made the day even brighter as we dodged rain showers! One word sums up the day: Fun! Three boys means three opportunities to capture their unique personalities! One of the things I love most about photographing families at home is the fact that I get a glimpse into each child's world.
